Analysis of vertical ground reaction force variables by Foot scan in hemiplegic patients

چکیده
Material and methods Twenty patients with hemiplegia due to vascular causes underwent gait analysis (by the F-Scan system). All patients had steady neurological status and were able to gait independently more than 8 m. The following vertical ground reaction force variables were measured: the first peak force during early stance(F1Y) and the percent stance at which it occurred(F1X); the second peak force evident through push-off(F2Y) and the percent stance that it occurred(F2X); loading rate, push-off rate, vertical force impulse, and stance time. Comparison of the GFR records was performed between hemiplegic patients and healthy control group and affected and unaffected limbs of hemiplegics. The group control consisted of 20 healthy volunteer subjects.

Analysis of Vertical Ground Reaction Force Variables Using Foot Scans in Hemiplegic Patients
OBJECTIVE To analyze the differences in the vertical ground reaction force (GRF) variables of hemiplegic patients compared with a control group, and between the affected and unaffected limbs of hemiplegic patients using foot scans. METHODS Patients (n=20) with hemiplegia and healthy volunteers (n=20) underwent vertical force analysis. We measured the following: the first and second peak force...
متن کاملComparison of Foot Pressure Variables in Blind and Healthy Participants with Open and Closed Eyes While Walking
Introduction: Measurement of foot pressure variables can be used to assess the loads to which the human body is subjected in normal activities, like walking, or in more demanding situations such as sports. The purpose of this study was to compare the foot pressure variables in blind and healthy individuals with open and closed eyes during walking. Methods: The present study was a quasi-experim...
متن کاملBiomechanical Analysis of the Influence of SACH Foot and Dynamic-Response Foot in Individual With Unilateral Transtibial Amputee During Running
Objective: Amputation of the lower limb due to loss of part of the musculoskeletal structure reduces performance and increases injury during locomotion. The effect of various types of prosthetic feet has been analyzed in several studies during running. The purpose of this study was a biomechanical analysis of the influence of SACH and Dynamic-Response foot on several kinetic variables in the st...
متن کاملThe Effect of Rocker Shoe on the Ground Reaction Force Parameters in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis
Objectives: Foot and ankle problems are common complications in rheumatoid arthritis disease. Gait pattern such as normal foot and ankle rocker is impaired in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Rocker sole as an external shoe modification is commonly prescribed in this pathology. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of rocker shoe on vertical ground reaction force parameters dur...

Introduction: Investigating the risk factors during single crossover landing in people with flat foot complication is unknown. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to compare the ground reaction forces and the amount of load introduced during crossover landing in people with flat foot and healthy individuals. Methods: The study method is descriptive-comparative. Twelve male subjects w...
